Small Brick Houses of the Twenties

I have enjoyed this book about the 20's house plans just like the other one I have reported on. It is so exciting to see
that people used to have four bedrooms in that long-ago-time. It has made me think about how families being assigned to such small spaces (but oh so glad they had a room to themselves). I'll bet many Grandparents had to live with their children and Grandchildren back then too, because of the hard times they went through. You really have to be older to discern how things were back then in order to want to investigate them. Met my desires.

Thoroughly enjoyed this retrospective of small, quality brick homes from the 1930's. Great resource guide to anyone interested in domestic architecture from this period. Also enjoyed the original written commentary for each design---it really enhanced the reading experience for me.

It was very interesting and with a few modifications, can be built today. These buildings have much more character than many of the modern designs.
